  • 1.  Screenings and validating

I am always asked "how long will it take for me to validate a screening?", of course this also depends on how many you sent out .  Is there a standard statement to give to this question?  I don't want to underestimate a timeline and fail at an expectation.  This would be based on one researcher.

The short answer is there isn't a national standard I've relied on.  My advice is for you to develop your own metric.  Ask your one researcher to randomly validate six screenings and average the number of minutes it takes per screening.

My guess is 20 minutes-ish.  Some will take 10 and others 40.  So much depends on the data and tools you have at your disposal.

But even if 15 minutes is an average, that does not mean you can knock out 4 per hour.  Your lone researcher has a day job, too!  I'd reserve at least 50% of their time to attend to "normal" business else, you will be in a major logjam once the validation is complete!
