    Hi all,

    We recently made the switch from Banner to RE and NXT. We are currently using a third party for credit card processing and are seriously considering moving to Online Express. Do you have any experience with this? Anything to consider or think about?

    We have been quite happy with Online Express, both here at my current institution and at my previous one (where we moved from a different solution to it). Creating or editing a giving form is user-friendly, and the updates are instantaneous. However, the trade-off for that ease of use is that you don't have as many options for some of the set-up. You are able to customize the message the donor gets on both the immediate confirmation screen and in their email.

    We have been using Online Express for years and have no plans to change. One thing to know is there are very specific steps to follow if you do not want it to change the constituent record when you process the gift.

    Hi Arielle,

    We have been using OLX for years as well. We have never had any issues with it. Processing refunds is very simple, email templates are fine, not data loss or such. Mobile devices are great as well.
    Events and Membership tabs have been a good addition to credit card options for us and PayPal has been successful. Very user friendly.

    Are you able to successfully run a sustaining / recurring gifts program through Online Express?  That aspect of using Touchnet as a processor has been a pain point for us, particularly because we can't make changes to a recurring gift once it's set up, and they don't offer the feature to update the user's card number when it expires.

    So we do not offer the recurring gift option  through Online Express. We have text around the portal to direct them to call us. We do not have the EFT BB add-on and we prefer to chat with them about their intend etc..more stewardship opportunity that way for us. This process has worked well for us and builds our donor relationships in the process!

    We offer recurring gifts through OLX and find it works well for us. We only offer the option for a15th of the month charge. This allows us to only have to create one monthly batch to charge all the recurring credit cards. We do not allow recurring gifts on any other platform.
