    Greetings!  Prior posts I've read about this product were favorable.  Is this still the case? 

    We are looking to replace Net Communities due to several issues with the program and its forthcoming sunsetting.  I would be grateful if you could share your experience with Online Express or other programs you have used or are using for 1) donation pages, 2) event registration, (3) sending mass emails, and 4) informational pages. 

    In addition to seamless functionality for donors, registrations, and others visiting these pages, the program needs to be intuitive for the program's owner. Ease of use and good customer support are essential.

    Hi Tracy,

    If you have RENXT web view, I would recommend using that platform instead of Online Express for both online donation forms and events.  In fact, Blackbaud is pushing us to use RENXT for event registration forms, email marketing and donations. The only thing I use OLX for is our alumni association membership registration. And that is because we can process a gift and a membership at the same time. Otherwise, I wouldn't use OLX at all.  Hope this helps.

    I'm in the same situation as Tracy. I've been thinking about Blackbaud's Online Giving Forms. I've been attending the webinars on the optimized forms on NXT. I'm not sure exactly the direction to head and how to plan the move.

     

    I second the request for experience others have had.

    About 6 months ago we moved all our giving forms from OLX and BBNC to NXT.  We only use OLX for memberships and BBNC as our microsite to host our NXT giving forms.  We use NXT to do emails. Overall, it's a seamless experience for the donor and makes gift processing so much better.  Happy to chat in more detail about this experience if you want to schedule a zoom/teams meeting.

    I've heard a lot of feedback about OLX vs NXT forms, and my big takeaway is to proceed with caution.

    Some NXT issues:
    • Payment forms end up creating more duplicates
    • Difficult to set up Apple Pay
    • Can't email to a list using a dynamic query (workarounds exist using Queue or Power Automate), so eg you can't send a follow-up email on an appeal and automatically strip out folks who already gave
    On the other hand, OLX is likely to sunset along with DB View, and it doesn't offer a good donor experience. 

    GiveCampus, JustGiving, FundraiseUp and GiveSmart are some other options you can consider (among many others, these just come up a lot)
