Hi Stephanie,
Happy to chat on a private thread but as an overview, we have a full policy that correlates the square footage of spaces to gift amounts of named funds, chairs, fellowships, and physical spaces etc. Once the fund minimum is met, a donor review is done by our university senate to approve the naming.
Here is a sample of gift ranges:

For term of naming, per the CSU system, we follow CSU policy 13646351 with our agreements outlining the naming to be for the "useful life of the building" but occasionally a set of years. I have not seen a term longer than 30 years approved (generally we aim for 20-30 as it could be hard to track):
· The naming may be for the useful life of the facility or for a defined period of years. Absent extraordinary circumstances, the useful life of a building is defined as until the facility is destroyed or substantially renovated.
We also include this line:
RIGHT TO RESCIND
Should circumstances change in a manner that affiliation with the name would cause harm to the reputation of the university, the university President or chancellor may request that the CSU Board of Trustees exercise its authority to rescind naming recognition.

Subject: Naming Opportunities and Best Practices
Hello,
We are researching naming opportunity best practices for termed naming opportunities (applying mostly to corporate partners) and I am looking for information on naming amount determination for a predetermined fixed term. In addition, I'm also looking for termed naming policy or naming gift agreement verbiage that should be used with such a corporate termed naming.
Thank you,
Steph
