    Hi all,
    I'm looking for a refresher on compliance as it pertains to sharing lists with our volunteers to do outreach for events and for giving.
    What type of information do you provide? What don't you provide?
    In what format is the data provided - pdf, excel, secure site?
    Do your volunteers sign an NDA?  If so, are they updated?

    We've chatted about this topic previously. There are also several aasp Best Practices dealing with data security.

    You likely need a policy that covers all manner of volunteers - including external constituents (class agents), internal staff (Deans and department heads), and Board members.

    I advocate a one-size-fits-all Data AQuisition & Use Policy that covers all data and all accesses. Internally, you will need to figure out what data are shared with whom - but only after they acknowledge (sign) the policy mentioned above and the consequences for misusing that data.
