  • 1.  Samsung workplace giving/matching gifts

    Friends, in May, a line item appeared in my organization's bank account for an odd dollar-and-cents amount, with the notation "Samsung Gift."  We have never received a donation from Samsung before.  A bit of web searching suggested to me that Samsung uses Benevity to manage its program.  I have a Benevity user account and downloaded data from about the last six months, scouring the files for something I might have missed, and found nothing.  Does anyone have any insights into Samsung's workplace giving or matching gift programs?  Should I be looking elsewhere for information about the gift?

    Maybe someone is trying to donate to you using Samsung Pay? Longshot but, maybe?

    I suspect it is a matching gift, with the "odd" amount attributed to the fees taken by Benevity's DAF.

    Have you queried your CRM to see which constituents work at Samsung? I'd look for a Samsung employee who has given regularly but not recently and reach out to them.
