  • 1.  Give Campus Refunds

    Greetings Colleagues,

    We went live with  GiveCampus for online giving a few weeks ago.   We noticed this week that we hadn't seen any ACH transfers for several days, despite there being many gifts showing up in GiveCampus.   We contacted Give Campus support and were advised that transfers had been halted because we issued a refund that either didn't align with a deposit, or the deposit had insufficient funds to cover. The recommendation was to contact our bank to clear Stripe for debit   or similar issues in the future will halt deposits.   GiveCampus users, have you encountered this issue?  Do you have Stripe cleared to debit your bank account?

    We have not had this issue and have been with them for 4 years.

    We've also used GC for years and never had a concern with refunds or payments coming through.

    What I can imagine has happened though, is if we issued a refund for $1,000 on a gift that had already been deposited to us, that we wouldn't receive the next deposit until we collected an additional $1,100, and our payout then would be for $100.00 (for example). Not sure if that's what's happening here.

    I have experienced this before but with a different vendor that uses Stripe. I had to contact our finance team to authorize the debit from our account.

    When we initially signed up with GiveCampus, we had to submit the request to allow the debits. Contact your business office and/or bank and they'll be able to help with it.
