    Good morning, Colleagues!

YIKES - and many, many apologies. Fatal flaw in round one that I missed in enabling the 'multiple choice' option for the roles and responsibilities questions instead of 'checkboxes'.

Really so sorry for those who initiated the survey process, but I had to copy and update the Gift Admin Staff Salary Survey in order to change the question format. I hope you'll be up to doing it again with the revised link. I've also attached the survey outline here for more efficient prep prior to completing the survey.

Thanks for your patience and my best to all for a great weekend!

Hello again, Colleagues!  Thus far we have 22 responses to the survey and a targeted invitation to participate was just sent to the 55 registrants we already have for the preconference Gift Administration session at Summit in NOLA next month. The greater the number of responses we get the more impactful the results will be so I hope you'll consider completing the survey if you haven't already done so.

Many thanks and have a great day!  -Amy

    Hello again, AASP Community!

The survey remains active; I'll likely keep it open through the end of this month - but that will depend on response activity. The questions are pretty straightforward in terms of the basic stats being collected at the start of the survey. For the actual levels of staffing, my assumption is that there will always be at least two levels involved as I haven't yet come across a construct yet where the same person who processes gifts is the highest in the chain of command and that is why the first two levels are mandatory and also allow for fractional FTE assessment. The smaller the shop the more hats we wear so the survey allows for break down into more specific estimates of how much any FTE at any given level is required to manage gift administration.

I do hope that if your organization hasn't already completed the survey you will consider doing so. As long as contact information is provided then you'll be able to receive interim and final summary information to do your own comparisons. As a "teaser" for what you might see, I'm copying below the initial summary of basic statistical details for those organizations which categorized themselves as being located in CASE District 2.  The average number of first/entry level positions for these organizations is 2.67 with the median mid-port annual salary at $53,083.33.
