Good afternoon, Connected Community Colleagues:
I've had discussions over the years with a number of colleagues who have been interested in gathering more detailed information around gift administration staff - including associated salaries. As part of this year's AASP Summit pre-conference session for Gift Administration, results from a survey I've crafted in an attempt to quantify these details a bit more will be presented.
Please consider completing the
Nonprofit Gift Administration Staffing/Salary Survey 2024 so we can gain some insight specifically into this critical area of infrastructure support. I've allowed for up to 5 tiers of staffing in this survey; only the first 2 levels require responses to all of the questions around FTE, salary and responsibilities. My assumption is that there are at least 2 levels at any organization where there's a primary level which handles most of the processing and a secondary level that has more supervisory assignments. Rather than asking for specific salaries or trying to manage ranges, the survey asks only for the most recent annual salary midpoint assigned by the institution for each level. While I realize that many of these positions might not technically be 'salaried' my hope is that you'll be willing to do the math and base the midpoint accordingly for hourly staffers.
My fingers are crossed that the allowance for up to 5 levels is sufficient and you can rest assured that once the first two levels are completed the subsequent levels can be answered with a "0" FTE count and those pages quickly skipped to get to the final page if they aren't applicable to your organization.
Finally, though the first summary of the survey will be presented at this year's Summit, any organization which completes the survey can request a copy as long as there is a valid email provided in those demographic questions.
Many thanks for your assistance and participation in this survey!
