AlumniFinder is a cheaper option – it's pay per use. It's uses LexisNexis data.

Subject: Alternatives to Nexis for Development Professionals
I'm experiencing "sticker shock." LexisNexis wants $10,000 per year for Nexis for Development Professionals where we look up names, street addresses, email addresses, home ownership, etc. In sum, we use it for Prospect Research and data hygiene in one-off fashion. We also have a wealth screening service subscription with iWave/Kindsight. I'm at a small, private, liberal arts university with limited funds. What less expensive alternatives to LexisNexis do you have business experience with and how is the customer experience going for you?
Gratefully,
