Hi all,
Wondering how best to go about handling end-of-year contributions in light of the sneaky update the USPS just made in regards to when mail is being postmarked.
In the past, something dropped in a mailbox on Dec 29 or 30 would be postmarked Dec 31, but now we're seeing a delay and the postmarks are trending to Jan 2. I'm assuming the postmark is still the date I should be recording as when the gift is received, however I would like to be prepared when folks inevitably come to me asking why their gift is not recognized for 2025.
Thank you!
