We recently celebrated completion of a successful need-based scholarship fundraising challenge. Our foundation used unrestricted dollars to match donor gifts establishing new (or contributing to existing) endowments. Foundation set up separate endowment funds for the matching dollars in order to not mix restricted and unrestricted dollars, and it's creating administrative challenges for utilization and stewardship. We are on the front end of managing these endowment funds for a very long time, and I'm looking for solutions/workarounds.
