  • 1.  Tax Summary statements from Raisers Edge

    Has anyone identified a way to get reports from RE by Donor at year end summarizing gifts by fund with one total per fund, without it printing all transactions to a fund (ie, payroll deduction or recurring credit card charges).  Part 2, also need a way to exclude non-charitable giving (ie. sponsors or registrations).  Any guidance is appreciated!

    Craig,

    I am about to run our statements right now out of RE.  I have it set up as a query of the eligible pool and an export of the specific fields and summaries we want.  We then do an external merge via Word so that we can manipulate that handful that need special attention.  We intentionally do not list every single gift made - just their total for the calendar year.

    We do the same as Joel and for any gifts that may not be fully deductible, we use the receipt value instead of the gift value to get the total. That would of course presume that you are recording a different amount in those fields.

    Coe College does the same as Joel and Dan.  We found the baked-in statements lacking so we export the data and merge letters outside of RE.
