  • 1.  Student-Led Investment Funds

    Our Finance academic program is launching a student led investment fund to oversee and manage as part of the curriculum.  They are hoping to solicit donations from companies/individuals for the fund.   What special considerations would we need to have around the collections of and receipting for such donations, if any?  I'm trying to think this through (a new one for us).

    I can't think of anything. Just make certain donors understand the purpose of the fund. I think you should offer all donors quarterly investment reports. You should also explain what will become of the fund if the program/course is one day canceled.
