Hey Tom - We use the term "campaign progress" and segment private and public dollars in the same format you have above. We use progress so we can also include other non-counted items like DAF intentions. I've made it very clear that the campaign progress is for marketing and stewardship purposes only. All other reports follow CASE and GAP.

Subject: State/Government funding for campaign priorities
Hi . . .
Knowing fully well that state/government funding is not philanthropic . . .
Looking for institutions that have 'included' in external (not CASE) marketing of their campaign, the dollars received from state/federal funding supporting campaign priorities.
So something like:
Capital Project 1
Philanthropic Dollars Raised: $50m
Federal/State Funding Received: $7m
Total Received: $57m
Interested in understanding the nuances of how it was reported and 'counted' (not philanthropically) towards the 'goal' of the campaign.
Thanks
Tom
