Hello friends,
I have a not-my-job question (so if this is outside our scope, admins, please ignore and delete). I've started volunteering with my local neighborhood association and recently looked at their CRM (which I'll just leave anonymous). The Executive Director has been there about six months, no one at the org really knows how to use it, it may have been implemented poorly and, you guessed it, they're thinking about doing an overhaul.
So, if you were to make a CRM recommendation for a community organization, what would it be? And, for bonus points, do you prefer a one-stop-shop solution or multiple systems that talk to each other?
Wish List, for 12K records
- Need the ability to coordinate:
- Volunteers
- Event registrations
- Sponsorships
- Process gifts and open to a new payment processor
- Track/send out newsletter
- Mobile friendly (for checking in event participants at the local marathon, etc)
- $15K annual budget
I have actual experience in RE7, BBCRM, Ellucian Advance and Kindsight ascend but given the price point, I hesitate to make any of these recommendations.
Thanks to all you wonderful people and hope to see you in Milwaukee next month!
Elizabeth
