Advancement - Director, Advancement Services
Bradley University is seeking a results-driven Director of Advancement Services to manage, direct, and implement all advancement data, systems and processes for our alumni and donor relations efforts. In this role, you will serve as a member of the university's Advancement Division and report directly to the Associate Vice President for Advancement and have a dotted line reporting to the Division of Information Technology.
Primary Responsibilities
-
Build, maintain, and be responsible for the overall accuracy and reliability of the university's alumni and donor data, systems, and reporting.

Create and deliver qualitative queries, reports, and lists to facilitate the work of the advancement team (e.g. alumni outreach, special events, donor prospecting, annual giving campaigns, gift management, etc.)

Build and generate reports needed to evaluate the university's advancement efforts (e.g. year over year comparisons, monitoring progress to goals, trends, etc.)

Develop and implement predictive modeling for building stronger fundraising programs and outreach. Must understand and be able to create and manipulate data sets to analyze and interpret data.

Create and implement a training plan for each member of the advancement team based on their position for utilization of the donor and alumni database; this will include available Blackbaud training offerings.
Additional Responsibilities

Build and implement data imports/exports, updates, and data appends.

Conduct data audits to identify data integrity issues and resolve data issues; build and implement a data management plan.

Provide accurate, timely and informed responses to ad-hoc data requests.

Stay abreast of new and developing tools, technology, and processes related to higher education alumni and donors, and make recommendations to the advancement leadership regarding updates/upgrades or new tools needed.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree and demonstrated experience administering alumni and donor data systems and processes in an educational or non-profit environment.

Demonstrated skill in developing queries, reports, and dashboards, and understand both the importance and mechanics of data segmentation.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and challenging deadlines.

Strong communication skills and are responsive when interacting with internal partners.
-
Extraordinary attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Five years of experience overseeing alumni and donor data systems and services.
-
Experience with Blackbaud data systems: Raiser's Edge/NXT and Omatic solutions such as ImportOmatic and ExportOmatic.
-
Demonstrated experience in a higher education setting.

Under the leadership and with direction from the Director of Advancement Services and Operations, the Assistant Director has oversight of all aspects of alumni and donor records management and maintenance, including developing both short-term (annual) and long-term goals and objectives related to data management, list generation, segmentation and reporting, implements plans and strategies that focus resources toward achieving stated goals.

Directly prepare reports, as necessary, for various departments including development (planned giving, annual giving, leadership and major giving team) alumni engagement, vice president of Institutional Advancement and assistant vice president for development, including fundraising reports (monthly) and the Board of Trustees (quarterly).

Data retrieval and segmentation and data reporting and analytics, ensuring coordination and optimization of data entry and maintenance projects, maximization of Carroll University's CRM (Raisers Edge/NXT), dashboards, and optimal deployment of reporting and analytics.
