I'd like to ask for feedback or suggestions on how your organization manages giving forms. Our organization is considering using Optimized Giving Forms (RE NXT). I am hesitant about using these types of giving options where limited information is requested from the donor (name and email only).

My questions are:

1. Would you sacrifice collected data for a higher number of donors, even if the only information collected is their name and email?
2. If you use tools like optimized Giving Forms from Blackbaud or GiveCampus, or even donation platforms like Venmo (with a non-profit account), when do you use them? Are they more effective for one-time campaigns like Giving Day/Week?

After working for many years to ensure we have coded our constituents correctly, I think moving to a strategy of using these optimized forms will have short-lived success because we won't have much information about our donors. However, we are in a world where many people prefer quick and easy donation platforms that allow them to give online or from their phone without providing too much information.

Good morning, Annette.

In the NXT Optimized Donation Form designer, Section 3 has Optional fields that you can include in your donation form. This is where you can include Phone, Mailing address, Appeal Code, and Campaign Code. We use NXT Optimized Donation forms for appeals and fundraising-specific pages but use the NXT Standard Donation form for our main donation landing page which does give more options (giving on behalf of an organization, tribute, etc.).

With the NXT Optimized Form, we like the ability of GPay and Apple Pay, which the Standard Form doesn't have. Our overall goal is to make it easy for anyone, including mobile users, to make a gift with the least number of clicks or typing as possible.
