Good day to you all,

I had an issue, and I wanted to see if anybody had some insight or thoughts, or if I'm just too deep in the weeds to see it clearly.  We use Blackbaud Raiser's Edge and ReNXT for our database as well as our email marketing.  We were recently made aware that when a record has been checked No Valid Addresses, the database considers that for emails as well as physical addresses.  Consequentially we've had folks that have a valid and usable email address not receiving anything from us via email, because we didn't have an active address and they were marked as No Valid Address.

This was enough to set my head to spinning, but after a bit of cleanup and global unchecking, I felt much better.  That was until a few weeks later when those numbers started climbing again with no input from our team. 

It turns out that while using ReNXT Address finder on it's quarterly basis, if the database doesn't see an active address, or has no forwarding address, it marks them "Lost" and checks the No Valid Addresses Box, it does this with no regard to email address.  So now I've got a situation where every quarter whether I like it or not, my database forces me to adjust records, and cleanup the mess.  I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts or ideas on this?  I've put in a ticket for this, and they're working on it, but other than working around the "lost" addresses by hand, I'm at a loss.
