Looking for any updates on your experience with NIL (name, image, and likeness) collectives.  We are starting to bump into each other with timing of asks and things look a little clunky for our constituents. We are also getting questions from our donors about the collectives being a 3rd party.   Are you communicating to your donors proactively about this?  Are you able to receive donor lists / info from the collectives? Any / all experience welcome.

Collectives are not able to receive tax-deductible donations. As the payments go to a specific student-athlete, they do not constitute gifts to your institution that can be counted or receipted.

So, I am curious about the involvement of the Advancement Office.

I guess it might be nice to know who is making a payment to the collective but I am not aware of any of my clients that are tracking that information.

It says NIL Fund, so a collective? 

This looks like a DAF funded, in part, from student contributions from NIL income they have received.

It does not look like a collective.
