We are exploring whether other institutions have implemented "Named Librarian" positions. For example, a donor would make a minimum gift of $XXX to establish a Named Librarian (e.g., the Sarah Thomas Librarian), with the funds placed in an endowment to support that position through research support, supplemental stipends, or professional development.
Has anyone else done this, and if so, what was the minimum gift amount?
