Has anyone transititioned to a Microsoft Dynamics for their CRM? What was the transition process like and how has your experience been since the transition?

Ellucian's CRM Advance is built on Microsoft Dynamics so anyone who is on that platform has experience with this. I've not heard of any other packaged fundraising CRMs built on the platform. I think the answer to your question depends a lot on whether you are considering a product already built on the platform, or are looking to build something custom using MS Dynamics Non-profit native tools.

    Best wishes on your exploration.

In addition to Ellucian CRM Advance I recently heard about SylogistMission CRM, which is built on Microsoft Dynamics. It looks like it's designed for general charitable organizations, rather than for higher education.

As John said, it's not clear if you have a CRM in mind or were thinking of trying to build your own on that platform. And it would help to know what sort of technology background your team has. Our team had a huge learning curve, going from an Oracle-based system to Dynamics, but your experience will have a lot to do with where you're coming from.

I have some exposure to Dynamics systems in the Association Management System space, and while it is sometimes the right choice, our firm is pretty tepid on Dynamics. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to speak more offline about it.

    Hi all
I work for Sylogist and we offer a solution (Sylogist MissionCRM) that is built on Microsoft dynamics. While the majority of our current customers are nonprofit organizations, there is no reason the solution should be limited to that segment only. There is a wealth of functionality on this tool and we are assessing and building more every day. Let me know with a direct mail to Carla.Norris@sylogist.com for more details. We are happy to share our story!!

    Hope this is helpful
