  • 1.  Looking for Feedback: Silent Donor – Anonymous Donation Platform

    Hi everyone,

A gift officer recently recommended that we speak with a company called Anonymous Donations – Silent Donor. The concept is certainly interesting, but I'm not familiar with them..

Has anyone here partnered with them before or had any experience working with them? I'd be very interested to hear any insights-both the benefits and potential drawbacks-of engaging with this company.

Thanks in advance for your input!

It's not dissimilar from many DAFs that offer donors anonymity.

These services create major headaches for nonprofit organizations while being somewhat intriguing to our donors. In reality, our donors do not usually want complete and total anonymity. They do not want you to publish their names. I do what I can to discourage the use of these services while doing everything I can to honor their publicity wishes (or lack thereof).

You're able to do better by doing this on your own rather than partnering with a third party.
