We used the language below with our 20202 and 2021 appeals. Is this still accurate. I believe it was part of the Cares Act--but I thought it expired? Am I corrector, if it is still in effect, is it now permanent?
A special tax provision offers enhanced opportunities for all taxpayers to take charitable deductions in 2021. This includes a universal deduction of up to $300 per individual, $600 per couple. In addition, individuals who itemize may deduct up to 100% of their adjusted gross income. Please consult your tax adviser for details.
