I've heard that GiveCampus may require a dedicated database manager, but I'm not sure that's accurate. Can other colleges confirm whether this is the case, or share how they handle this role-who manages it, and what responsibilities are involved?

We just use their giving offerings (giving pages and social fundraising platform). I managed the adding of funds when we got started and do the gift entry. Our annual giving director sets up and manages any pages we use so I would say not one dedicated person or even the equivalent of that.

Of course, we are a small school so our needs/use may be different. Additionally, if you have any of GiveCampus's other offerings the management needs may be increased.

Milton also uses GiveCampus. We have the volunteer module, giving pages, and the social platform. Our annual giving team manages the volunteer assignments and social platform. I manage the data flow into the platform. Our gift coordinator manages the gifts entered.

There is not enough work for a dedicated admin for GiveCampus. That said, you would need a couple of platform experts, especially if you are using the social fundraising platform as it takes some time to get up and configure your campaign (we do a large Giving Day campaign and a few smaller campaigns for challenges and it's really the GD one that takes a lot of setup since we have so many challenges).

The percentage of time any of us spend on GiveCampus is relatively small compared to the rest of our workload.

    Good luck!

We moved all our giving to GiveCampus and use Giving Forms, the Social Platform and Volunteer Management. We are looking to add Gift Officer and Events. I support the data integrations to and fro, our fundraisers set up campaigns and giving pages, and our Annual Fund manages volunteers and Parent volunteers are in the testing stages.
