    Hi! Do you consider all gifts that come from trusts as planned gifts? Do all gifts from trusts get counted and reported in your planned giving numbers? Thank you!

    The short answer is no.

    Many "trusts" operate like private foundations wherein the funds were placed within that trust for future allocation by a board or committee.

    Planned gifts are more like CGAs, CRUTs, CLATs, & CRUTs that are established naming you as an irrevocable beneficiary.
