Hey, Tim!
The best and simplest protocol is that for a gift offer to get "credit," they must demonstrate a relationship and cultivation effort within the moves management system. Then, when they make the ask, they create that "opportunity" within that system. When the gift comes in, it's linked to that opportunity.
Joint credit can get a bit tricky. But it works the same way: both gift officers must be linked to the opportunity.

Subject: Fundraiser Gift Credit
Hello
Just wondering if anyone would be willing to share their institution's policy/procedures for fundraiser gift credit. We are in the processing of reviewing our current policy and just trying to get a sense of current industry standards/best practices - Thanks so much.
