    Good morning everyone! Question for those who use NXT e-receipting tool. A few months ago we started to use e-receipting for tax letters and we do mail receipts for donors without an email. Our issue is with soft credit because emails are pulled from hard credit records. Did anyone had a similar issue and was able to find a solution?

    Well, soft-credit donors do not receive receipts. The receipt format within NXT contains all the requisite IRS mambo-jumbo. You should not send that document to soft-credit donors.

    Soft-credit donors should receive a simple acknowledgment of thanks and often without any reference to a dollar amount.

    Marta, there isn't an automated way to use the e-receipting function for soft credit letters (not tax receipts!) You can generate these like you would any other communication, using a query, setting up the merge fields, etc., or you can consider a solution like ReceipterPro, which has this functionality.
