  • 1.  Documentation and Retention Policies for Gift Agreements

    Posted 03-28-2024 02:21 PM
    Greetings,

I'm hoping that you will share your documentation and retention policies for gift agreements and other important documents in the post-pandemic environment.  With the majority of agreements being signed electronically, are you only storing these documents digitally?  Or is there still a need for paper documents, or scenarios (naming opportunities/endowments/certain dollar threshold) in which wet signatures are preferred?  Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Catrina

There is no need to save any paper if you have made a digital copy.

Certainly confirm this with Counsel and State laws. But I have not see a wet signature requirement in years.
