Reminder Hot Topics Friday, June 3, 2022
Just a reminder that Hot Topics will occur Friday, June 3, 2022, at 2 PM EST. Next week's Hot Topics will be on DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) funds and will focus on the following topics:
- The 1964 Civil Rights Act, Title IX, and other federal guidelines
- Creation of DEI fund
- Preference language regarding DEI
- Risks and assessments
- Measurement and tracking of DEI funds
- Scholarship "pooling"
- Preparing your frontline fundraisers to have discussions around the creation of DEI funds
- DEI fundraising efforts
I know that this is a Hot Topic, and we started to discuss this during last month's call, so this should be an exciting call. To prepare for this call, we ask for your assistance in completing the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Fund/Gift Agreement Survey. There is an option to retain anonymity, but I will be sharing these responses at the Hot Topics call on June 3, 2022, at 2 PM. Please complete the survey by May 31, 2022.
