  • 1.  DAFpay via GiveCampus

For those of you who use GiveCampus and have started using DAFpay: could you give me some feedback?  Have you noticed existing DAF payments moving to DAFpay or are they mostly people who have not previously given through their DAF?  Any concerns about the fees associated with accepting DAFpay instead of direct payment?

    I appreciate your insight.

Courtney,  We recently initiated DAF pay through our GiveCampus.  Right now, I am not sure how we are handling any fees associated with the option.  But we have seen a slight uptick in DAF payments. Not huge but an increase.  We have gotten 3 new donors, who have not given through DAF previously, and one completely new donor to us as a first-time gift through this option.  A lot of our DAF donors give annually; we are entering their season for giving so are looking to see if they opt to it online this year.

We are in the midst of a month long parent giving campaign via GiveCampus - the first we've had since signing up through DAFpay. We have had 4 DAF gifts indicated as coming in through that system and have had two come in, but through our already established ACH transfers from Fidelity and Raymond James (no fees attached). I plan on doing a post campaign analysis that looks at gifts via DAF during that timeframe as well. We also had no publicity around this, it's just now a visible option during checkout. If DAF day happens in October again, we may consider a branded solicitation with that theme.

Thank you both!  You mention no fees coming out of the gifts, but I assume GC is including processing fees for the gifts in your monthly invoice/coming out of your bundle for processing fees (whichever method you use), correct?  That is my biggest hesitation in this, and perhaps I'm being overly cautious, but I would hate to have a DAF we already get without any processing fees transfer over to DAFPay and start paying 2.9% or whatever for it.

    Hello all,

We are also evaluating GiveCampus and are interested in the DAFpay feature.  Can you tell me was that feature included with your GiveCampus contract or did you have to contract with Chariot/DAFPay separately.

    Thank you!

We have GiveCampus and really like it.  We are wanting to turn on DAFPay.  Our acct rep says it's just like our Double The Donation link - just turn it on and go.  However, we are concerned 1.  about fees.  and 2.  Do we have to create a Chariot Account separately (related I guess to fees as well).

I'm obviously following this and will provide more when we next meet with our AE.

Nancy Jones - call me and we can talk GC if you like.

    Have a great weekend everyone!!

    Hi Teresa,

    1) You are charged through your existing GiveCampus fee structure. So, for a large DAF grant, that could sting.
    2) You will have to set up a Chariot Account, but no fees are assessed on that side; only through GiveCampus.
