  • 1.  Credit card billing information

    Hello friends,

     

    Reality/sanity check, please.

     

    Does your online giving platform allow for someone to make a credit card gift using their own card but someone else's name/addr/email who they want to receive the gift credit and who will also receive the automated gift receipt?

     

    Does your online platform have a "contact info" section AND a "billing info" section so you can differentiate this info?

     

    We are implementing RENXT/BBMS and being told they have never been asked about the lack of this contact vs billing or a concern about the receipt going to NOT the legal donor.

    Hi Anita,

     

    We use BB Luminate Online and did not have a separate "billing information" section. I'm not sure whether that was an optional feature we chose not to implement or if it was introduced as part of the newer version of the forms but we have it now.

     

    Even when a billing information section was not available, donors still found ways around it and would occasionally enter another person's information, which created other challenges (records being overwritten). I don't get to concerned about the receipt; we can only process information as it presented to us.
