    Good morning!

    I have a grant that is clearly government: It came from the city. However, the city & United Way partnered on the award, and the payments are all via United Way. The agreement requests that we acknowledge and thank the city on publications, but reporting and updates go to United Way.

    I will book this under United Way - do I also exclude it from our reporting as government funding - Per the archives any government funding should be excluded, no matter how it comes in. Just confirming that the United Way vehicle doesn't negate that?

    It sounds like UW is serving as a pass thru and potentially not the "legal donor." Before recording this on the UW record I would call to verify.

    If UW is passing thru only, you may not want to record the government grant at all.
