Good morning - We have a donor that wishes to use his credit card to fund an annuity. It is our practice to use the date the CGA agreement is signed as the gift date in our CRM. When the annuity is funded by a check it is easy to backdate the gift but I have never done that with a credit card. We record the credit card transaction directly into our CRM so it would be an online transaction. Is there anything legally that will stop me from backdating a credit card transaction if our CRM allows it? Would appreciate any thoughts on the matter
