  • 1.  Are credit card processing fees refundable?

    On our online event registration pages, we ask donors to cover the cost of their credit card processing fees. At your organization, if they ask for a refund because they're not attending the event, do you also refund the credit card fees or just the event fees?

    This should be specified in your refund policy, but there is not a "correct" answer. Generally, the more expensive the event is, the more it makes sense not to refund the processing fee.

    Echoing Isaac's sentiments, refunding a payment increases processing fees. The participants should be thankful you do not have a "no refunds with X days of the event" policy!
