Annual donor list name format

    Hello AASP friends!

We are an independent 9-12 school, and hopefully publishing an online donor list for the last time (there has not been print copy in several years). For those of you who are still producing this colossal waste of time, I have a question regarding the format of donor parents who are also alumni. In the past, there was some inconsistency in how all donors were listed; alumni were first-last, parents were Mr. & Mrs., etc. So this year, we have opted to list everyone except grandparents as first-last. We also decided to include the alumni class year and parent years, which we did not always do in the past. Some examples of this year's parent format:

Neither parent is an alum: Jane and John Doe P'23
John is an alum: Jane and John Doe '87, P'23
Jane is an alum: Jane Doe '87, P'23 and John Doe, P'23

There are, of course, many more variations, but essentially we're not loving that the parent indicators are repeated in that last option, which would be the same format for parents with different last names. We are considering: Jane '87 and John Doe, P'23. Or possibly Jane Doe '87 and John Doe, P'23.

Aside from ditching this lousy list altogether (you can tell how I really feel about this project), please let me know the format you use or suggest.

    Thank you,
    Laurie
