Hi everyone, Chris from the St. Louis Area Foodbank here.

We are in the process of changing bank accounts and a couple of questions have popped up regarding ACH information. In your organization, who is typically granted access to ACH account details? Do gift officer's need access to this information? Also, do you have a minimum transaction amount for use of ACH? Any insights would be really helpful.

    Thank you,

    Chris

If you are referring to the actual bank information, no one should have access to it. Most vendors these days encrypt the data once you enter it into the platform. No one at the organization can then access the data.

I prefer to wait for one billing cycle before I destroy the donor-provided data (which should be stored in a safe). But after that, you should destroy that info as you likely already do with your credit card information (to ensure PCI compliance).
