    The IRS continues to dribble out updated publications. Compared to when I last checked (on February 2), the following have now been rereleased:
    • Instructions for Form 8283
    • Publication 526: Charitable Contributions
    • Publication 544: Sales and Other Dispositions of Assets
    • Publication 599: Survivors, Executors, and Administrators
    • Publication 970: Tax Benefits for Education
    The attached list shows the current status of all documents related to our work. Since it's only been two weeks since my last review, I've left the yellow highlight for all 2026-updated pubs and used orange to mark the date of the most recent additions to the list.

    In the Revised Date column of the attached list, you will see that many relevant documents haven't been changed in a long time - several are 10+ years old. However, a few appear to be updated nearly annually. I plan to check for newer versions again around March 1.
