Marketing Cloud has great features for setting up DRIP campaigns for
prospect nurturing/cultivation etc. RE can be used for donation data and
donor touches and donor-specific information.
However, it's important that the two systems work in tandem for exchanging
data both ways between RE and Marketing Cloud, for this to be a predictable
and smooth process.
Marketing Cloud is a completely separate cloud (owned by Salesforce) with a
separate API, therefore, the integration products that connect to
Salesforce CRM may not necessarily connect with Marketing Cloud. In lieu of
automatic integration, this is likely to be a very labor-intensive process
to keep the data moving between the two systems.
Hope this helps.
