The University of Miami is in the process of converting from Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge to their CRM. As part of the process we are reviewing and updating our policy and procedure documents. Do any of you have "marketing and communication" policies, that aren't on fundsvcs.org (we've looked there), that you think might help us to define and write our own policy?
Our university communications department clearly outlines things like speaking to the media and style guidelines so those pieces aren't needed. I am looking for language that defines regulations (internal and otherwise) around development and alumni relations solicitations, tax receipts, acknowledgements, newsletters, announcements, etc. Bonus points will be given for references to:
* The marketing/communications functionality in your CRM including appeal codes and finder numbers
* GDPR, HIPPA, FERPA, etc.
* Approval workflows
* Attention to constituent communication preferences
