Joan/Bill,
I’ve worked with some system which have required separate transactions when designating gift/pledge to different accounts. So, in those cases, we have adjusted reports to bring the “parts” of the transaction together. Not the easiest way, but it can be done.

Hi Joan,
The gift can have just a single Gift or Pledge Number and be split among many designations. Then, you construct your report based on Gift or Pledge Number.—Bill

The question I'll post when I can get into the site (I've just forwarded another email) is regarding 'grouping' gifts into a single commitment for reporting purposes in Banner:
example: $1M gift has to be booked to 2 gift designations in 2 different schools, which creates 2 $500k gifts. Management wants to report $1M gift.
