    Hey Teresa: Are you using Raiser's Edge NXT? If so, I can give you a few "ah-ha's" specific to the web view. Also, and I realize I am preaching to the choir, our go to has always been did the action constitute a "move" for the relationship of that constituent and the organization. That is when it is most important for a the action to be in the database. Grady Health Foundation will long outlast you and any of your fundraisers. It is important that institutional history is preserved...we want those who are coming after us 5, 10, 20+ years from now to also be successful. Good luck!     I'm leading an in-house RE training next week in an attempt to get everyone using the database the correct way; we will be focusing on actions, proposals and notes. I've done these before but wondering if anyone has specific points, advice, testimonials that really resonated with your fundraisers. I know the key is getting leadership to adopt "if it's not in RE, it didn't happen;" we're not quite there yet. We have some folks that don't use the database at all, and some that put in EVERYTHING as an action. I know it's a broad question....so any "ah-ha" moments are much appreciated!!     Hi Teresa, We have 9 healthcare foundations sharing one RE database. We insist that gift officers use actions, proposals and notes. Each prospect meeting features a look at all proposals in "strategy" or that are "pending." I have created a crystal report that pulls those out with the columns that we use. One column shows the money they expect to bring in. They are expected to enter their own actions. Sending a greeting card doesn't count. They must be "real" actions. And each month, our gift officers are presented with a list of their assigned prospects, their last actions and how many days it's been since the last action. This is a document depends on the gift officers not only having actions but entering them into RE. And I will advise you that NXT truly makes it easy for our gift officers to enter/update their actions, proposals and notes.
