Hi Sue, For regular/monthly donors, we send them a thank you/acknowledgement with their first gift and then reach out to them personally to ask how often they'd like to receive future acknowledgements. We do it the same way - A letter thanking the donor for setting up the recurring gift and then a letter at the end of each calendar year so they have the receipt details they may need.
