I am attaching two reports shared previously by CalArts. You will also find both at the download site. They might be a bit dated, but I have always liked them. And while I am sure things have changed in the last six years, I was proud of the two reports attached from NC State. They broke down our giving two ways, and then three ways within each group: - Gifts & New Commitments - All new outright gifts and pledges - Gift Receipts - Cash in the door (virtually the VSE report) Each of these two reports had three tabs to reflect the same dollars in different ways: - By Source (Entity types making the contributions) - By Type (Gift type categories) - By Use (Major fund categories) As you will also see, each tab reflected not only totals for the entire University but each College and fundraising organization). I will add these to the download site tomorrow - and, time-permitting will create a new sub-category for report examples. John John H. Taylor Principal, John H. Christine - We create a series of historical comparative reports of our performance against various peer sets using data pulled from the VSE database. We compare ourselves against the top 10 publics, top 10 grad engineering and against a geographic group of southeastern united states. Comparative data points: Total Fundraising $ Corporate Total $ Foundation Total $ Alumni Total $ Governing Board $ Credit $ Unrestricted $ $/Alumni Endowment Total $ Revenue Total $ Total Expenses $ We plot these points against these peer groups for 10 years. All, I have added these reports to the Download site. They are under the sub-category of Reports & Lists. This category also has report request examples. There are 27 files under this heading. Many of the examples are dated yet relevant. I am delighted to add new standards anyone might be willing to share with me. The Download site likes PDF file types the best. I am happy to handle the conversion if you wish. John John H. Taylor Principal, John H.
