On forms where this is often an issue for us – namely events – we have a field where the person can indicate that it is a corporate sponsorship. We very often have staff with p-cards buying corporate tables for example.

That's a slick suggestion, Cynthia. Although my billing address and my business address are the same (even though of late I don't find myself at home much!).

When we get online gifts and the billing address that is used for the card is a business then we hard credit the business if it is a home address then the person is given the hard credit.

Hi there,
Online gifts - coming through with personal name. How do we know (or do we need to know) if it is in fact a corporate credit card? Some of them we believe are because of our knowledge of the donor and corp. Do we hard/soft credit the person/business?
Thanks for your input.
