Responsibilities
Donor Relations and Stewardship:
• Implement systematic and integrated donor relations initiatives,
including stewardship acknowledgements on behalf of the unit.
• Produce custom acknowledgements under the direction of the Associate
Director of Donor Stewardship, and oversee process for obtaining live
signature.
• Maintain and digitize gift records.
• Support Donor Appreciation Week.
• Assist gift officers and Associate Director of Donor Stewardship in
individualized donor stewardship activities.
• Assist Associate Director of Student Philanthropy in first time donor
stewardship.
• Track and report Haas Gala sponsorships on behalf of gift officers,
including frequent follow-up with donors and other key stakeholders.
• Modify and update Give to Berkeley pages, customize e-mail receipts, and
download gift data.
Data Research, Processing, and Reporting:
• Process, record, and maintain data for constituents affiliated with the
Haas School of Business.
• Update email groups and manage email subscription requests.
• Research biographic information and update constituent profiles.
• Collect and record alumni engagement activities in campus-wide alumni
database, including affiliations, committees, events, interests, etc.
• Prepare donor briefings for gift and engagement officers, research and
compile donor biographies, and update biographic data.
• Run, compile, and modify reports in support of signature events.
• Interface with University Development & Alumni Relations’ Advancement
Information Management team to prepare data for auto-load processes.
Online Customer Support:
• Act as the first point of contact for prospects and donors by fielding
inquiries from the general inbox and phone line. Address daily inquiries
received through the
giving@haas.berkeley.edu account and support customer
service request related to the Annual Report.
• Develop specialized knowledge to respond to most common gift inquiries.
Administrative Support:
• Provide administrative support on donor cultivation, recognition events,
and special projects.
• Assist, as needed, managing student workers and other duties as assigned.
Career Development:
• Works on special projects as assigned.
• Attends classes which will enhance expertise in job areas.
• Participates in committee and project work to further the Haas and
University communities.
Required Qualifications
• Demonstrated success in learning complex data entry practices and
procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a
fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, using tact, patience and courtesy, to
communicate effectively with diverse staff.
• Demonstrated command of time- , customer- and project-management skills,
including meeting deadlines and responding quickly to inquiries and/or
requests.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team with
minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and take direction from
multiple colleagues, and collaborate with colleagues.
• Demonstrated experience engaging with diverse constituents.
• Proficient with data entry practices and procedures, including using
software such as Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to use internet search tools to conduct research.
• Availability to work over-time and some weekends with advance notice.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in advancement, including development, data services,
alumni relations or stewardship.
• Experience generating reports based on simple query criteria.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data
• Demonstrated success with financial record-keeping techniques.
• Working knowledge of ellucian's Advance Web, or the Cal Advancement Data
System (CADS).
• Working knowledge of relational database systems.
Education/Training:
• BS/BA, preferred.
Salary & Benefits
This position is a non-exempt, bi-weekly paid position. Hourly pay for this
role is commensurate with experience within the Union negotiated range of
$24.17 - $29.02 / Steps 1.0 - 9.0.

This position is governed by the terms and conditions in the agreement for
the Clerical & Allied Services Unit (CX) between the University of
California and Teamsters Local 2010. The current bargaining agreement
