Many years ago CASE included a document in the CASE Guidelines that
provided a summary distinguishing between contracts and contributions -
along with a checklist of sorts. CASE excluded this summary in more recent
editions as NACUBO discarded the guide - apparently because it was outdated
and inconsistent with more recent FASB doctrine.
Yet, I am asked frequently for copies of this document - even though it is
25 years OLD, and not entirely relevant!
So, to make life easier on us all I have placed a copy of this OLD document
at the download site. PLEASE do not write to me saying that it is no
longer correct or that you disagree - I didn't write it and it's OLD. But,
so that it isn't lost forever it's now on the website - noted that it's OLD!
