I am attaching two reports shared previously by CalArts. You will also find
both at the download site. They might be a bit dated, but I have always
liked them.
And while I am sure things have changed in the last six years, I was proud
of the two reports attached from NC State. They broke down our giving two
ways, and then three ways within each group:
- Gifts & New Commitments - All new outright gifts and pledges
- Gift Receipts - Cash in the door (virtually the VSE report)
Each of these two reports had three tabs to reflect the same dollars in
different ways:
- By Source (Entity types making the contributions)
- By Type (Gift type categories)
- By Use (Major fund categories)
As you will also see, each tab reflected not only totals for the entire
University but each College and fundraising organization). I will add these
to the download site tomorrow - and, time-permitting will create a new
sub-category for report examples.
