Hi, We received a check that looks to be from a Prudential Defined Income Account (Annuity??). I don't know if it was a withdrawal, annuity payout or beneficiary payout. Does it require a special/different tax receipt? No other information other than the check made out to: Brandeis University c/o donor's name donor's address Paula ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Paula M. I would treat it as a straight-out gift and record it on the donor's record with a standard gift receipt. This is essentially a donor-directed fund. Yes, the investment is an annuity but apparently, the donor is directing this income payment to you. John John H. Taylor Principal, John H.
