Although the posting says expertise in DonorPerfect is required, really expertise in any of the CRMs/databases will do the trick. I've found DPO to be pretty intuitive and easy to pick up. Job Description: The Advancement Services and Prospect Research Manager provides a comprehensive range of prospect research, analysis, data analytics, prospect management, data-mining and database management in order to successfully execute the flow of prospects into and through the major donor pipeline. The manager will establish systems, adhere to guidelines and apply technical solutions to minimize risk, maximize system efficiency. Requirements: Required: * Expertise in DonorPerfect, including the ability to make database system modifications, produce queries and reports, and update records. Knowledge and understanding of best practices in DonorPerfect administration and management. * Demonstrated ability to perform research on individuals, foundations, and corporations at a high level using a variety of resources. Understand what constitutes relevant and strategic information and how to analyze the data to support prospect development * Proficient in conceptualizing and developing proactive prospecting methodologies to support organizational goals and understand the role of prospect research in a sophisticated development program * Knowledge of current trends in prospect management, prospect research, and fundraising campaigns. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, including strong written and verbal skills. * Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest professional and ethical standards. * A Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience that provide the required level of knowledge, skills and ability to successfully perform the functions of the job requirements Preferred: * Crystal Reports * RelSci * LexisNexis * Graduate degree Additional Information: The VCCS System Office is located in the beautiful Arboretum Business Park off of Midlothian Turnpike in southwest of Richmond. All classified employees new to the Commonwealth of Virginia will serve a 12-month probationary period. The VCCS offers competitive compensation along with excellent benefits and opportunity for career development. Hiring Range: $46,087 - $61,358. Salary commensurate with education and work experience.
